Many customers arrive in the centre of Rome by train. From Fiumicino Airport you can reach Termini Station with the ‘Leonardo Express’ train.
Trains depart every half hour starting at 06:23 a.m. until 11:23 p.m. and the journey time is approximately 30 minutes.
At the airport, tickets can be purchased at the railway station concourse, at the railway ticket office, at the ticket kiosk or at self-service ticket machines. The cost of the ticket is €14.00* per person (* €15, if purchased at the Trenitalia desk located near the train – platforms 23 and 24 at Roma Termini).
The main low-cost airlines: Ryanair, Easyjet, Flyglobespan, Wizzair, My Air, Blue Air and Central Wings, all fly to Ciampino Airport, Rome’s second airport.
Ciampino Airport is closer to Rome than Fiumicino Airport, but is a little more difficult to reach. Terravision operates a connection service between the airport and central Rome, offering a bus service to and from Termini Station (journey time: 40 minutes).
Alternatively, you can use the regional bus (Cotral), which you can catch directly outside the airport’s main entrance. This bus will take you to the metro stop ‘Anagnina’, one of the stations of Line A of the metro. The journey time is approximately 20 minutes. The first bus leaves at 06:00 and the last one at 22:40. Tickets can be purchased at the tobacconist’s shop located inside the airport (please note: it is not possible to buy tickets on the bus).
From the central square of Rome Termini, you can take bus 64 (historic line that leads to the Vatican) or line 40 express, and in about 20 minutes you can reach Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, where you can get off at three different stops, the first it is the one located a few meters after Piazza S.Andrea della Valle, the second, in front of the Cancelleria palace, and the third, in Piazza della Chiesa Nuova (the 40 express only stops here). Each of these stops is a 5-minute walk from the hotel.
If you got off bus 64 at the first of the above stops, walk along the same side of the street, and in a moment you will arrive in Piazza S. Pantaleo (where the building that houses the “Museum of Rome” is located).
From here, continue along Via di S.Pantaleo, which in just a few meters will lead you straight to Piazza Pasquino. Crossing this square in the direction of Via del Governo Vecchio, on the left you will find Via del Teatro Pace, where the hotel is located.
The hotel is located within one of the so-called “limited traffic” (ZTL) areas of Rome, delimited by a series of electronic gates, accessible only during certain time slots. The access gate closest to the hotel is Via Zanardelli (Lungotevere Tor di Nona), for which we report the closing times below:
Closed from 06.30 to 18.00 from Monday to Friday
Closed from 2pm to 6pm on Saturdays
Closed from 11pm to 3am on Friday and Saturday
During the aforementioned times, access is prohibited to “non-residents”. We also remind you that the ZTL gates are monitored by cameras that photograph every vehicle in transit, therefore unauthorized vehicles will be sanctioned automatically. To reach the hotel by car, we suggest the following route:
– from Corso Vittorio Emanuele II reach Piazza della Chiesa Nuova
– turn into via della Chiesa Nuova
– then right, into via del Governo Vecchio
– then the first on the left, in via di Parione
– then right into via di Tor Millina (for a very short stretch)
– and then immediately right, into via del Teatro Pace, where at 30m. on the right side, you will find the Hotel Teatro Pace!
Where to park: The hotel does not have its own private parking, but upon request, the reception staff will be happy to reserve a space for you in the only garage available nearby. The terms, conditions and itinerary to reach the car park (about 10 minutes away on foot) are available at reception.
Recently, an underground car park was also built in Piazza Cavour, always open, which offers good rates for daily parking (24 hours).
The car park is 8-10 minutes walk from the hotel.
