From Fiumicino – Leonardo da Vinci international airport
Many people reach the centre of Rome by train. Fiumicino is linked to Termini station by the “Leonardo Express” service.
Trains depart every half-hour from 6:23 am until 23:23 pm, and the journey takes approximately 30 minutes.
At the airport, tickets can be bought in the atrium of the railway station, at the ticket office, the newsagent/tobacconist or from self-service ticket machines. Tickets cost 14 euros* per person (*15 euros if bought at the Trenitalia desk next to the departure point on platforms 23 and 24 at Roma Termini).
From Ciampino – G.B.Pastine international airport
Most of the low-cost airlines, like Ryanair, Easyjet, Flyglobespan, Wizzair, My Air, Blue Air and Central Wings, fly to Ciampino, Rome’s second airport.
Ciampino is closer to Rome than Fiumicino, but a little more difficult to reach. Terravision operates a link between the airport and central Rome, with a bus service to and from Termini station (journey time 40 minutes).
Alternatively you can use the regional bus (Cotral), which you can catch right outside the main entrance to the airport. This bus takes you to Anagnina, a station on Linea A of the metro. Journey time is approximately 20 minutes. The first bus departs at 6 am and the last at 22:40. You can buy tickets at the tobacconists inside the airport (note: tickets cannot be bought on the bus).
From Termini railway station
From the main depot at Termini station you can take the number 64 bus (a historic line going towards the Vatican) or the number 40 express line, and in approximately 20 minutes you will reach Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, where you have a choice of three different bus stops, the first just after Piazza S.Andrea della Valle, the second in front of the Palazzo della Cancelleria, and the third in Piazza della Chiesa Nuova (the 40 express only stops here). Any of these stops is a five-minute walk from the hotel.
If you get off the 64 bus at the first stop, walk along the same side of the street and you will soon come to Piazza S.Pantaleo (with the palace which is home to the Museo di Roma).
From here, continue on Via di S.Pantaleo, which will very soon take you to Piazza Pasquino. Crossing the square towards Via del Governo Vecchio, to your left you will see Via del Teatro Pace, where the hotel is located.
By Car
The hotel is located within the “limited traffic” zone of Rome (ZTL), a series of electronically controlled restricted areas which are only accessible at certain times of day. The nearest access point to the hotel is the one in Via Zanardelli (Lungotevere Tor di Nona), for which the following opening times apply:
Closed from 06:30 to 18:00 Monday to Friday
Closed from 14:00 to 18:00 Saturday
Closed from 23:00 to 03:00 Friday and Saturday
During these times, access is prohibited to “non residents”. We also remind you that the ZTL areas are under surveillance by cameras which photograph every vehicle, and therefore unauthorised vehicles are fined automatically. To reach the hotel by car, we suggest the following route:
– from Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, head to piazza della Chiesa Nuova
– turn into via della Chiesa Nuova
– turn right into via del Governo Vecchio
–Take the first left into via di Parione
– turn right into via di Tor Millina (very briefly)
– immediately right, into via del Teatro Pace; Hotel Teatro Pace is 30 metres on the right hand side!
Where to park: The hotel does not have its own car park, but on request, the reception staff will be happy to book you a place in the only available garage nearby. Terms and conditions, and instructions for finding the garage (approximately 10 minutes’ walk away) are available at reception.
An underground car park has recently been built in piazza Cavour, which is open 24 hours a day and charges reasonable daily rates. The car park is 8-10 minutes’ walk from the hotel.
